Pet sitting is a fun & flexible part-time job!!

This is a great opportunity for part-time workers, retirees, college students and anyone else with a flexible schedule and a passion for pets.

What are the requirements to become a pet sitter?

    • You must be awesome – Enthusiasm and a true love for animals is #1!
    • Be 18 years of age or older.
    • A valid driver’s license.
    • Reliable transportation (Public transportation, Lyft, Uber, etc. are not acceptable).
    • Trustworthiness – You’ll be required to pass a state & federal background check as you’ll be entering our clients’ homes.
    • Have either an iOS or Android smartphone with GPS.
    • Be able to lift up to 50lbs (typically a large bag of dog food or kitty litter).
    • Experience working with pets – Either your own pets or through previous employment.
    • Excellent customer service – You’ll be communicating with clients regularly through our mobile messaging platform.
    • Candidates must live within our service area of Angier, Apex, Cary, Fuquay Varina, Holly Springs, SW Raleigh, or Willow Spring

And it’s not only cats and dogs…we also care for wide variety of pets such as rabbits, chickens, and even reptiles! But don’t be fooled…pet sitting is not just fun and games.

As a professional pet sitting service, we adhere to the highest standards of pet care and follow stringent procedures and guidelines at each visit!

Application & Questionnaire

We only hire employees. No 1099 contractors. Through a thorough application and questionnaire process, we determine if candidates will be a great fit with consistent availability.

 

Interview

To further ensure we are hiring only the best dog walkers & pet sitters to care for our client’s fur babies, we next schedule interviews with all prospective employees.

Background Check

We run a local and national background check to ensure a candidate’s background is squeaky clean before hiring. We don’t let just anyone enter our client’s home to care for pets. 

Red Cross First Aid & CPR

Employees are required to go through the Red Cross’s Pet First Aid & CPR Training for an added level of insurance and peace of mind. We want everyone prepared just in case!

On the Job Training

Before we let our employees care for pets by themselves, they go through a series of on-the-job training visits with seasoned WoofPack veterans. This allows them to learn from the best!
