Hiring Pet Sitters – We Don’t Hire Just Anyone
Application & Questionnaire
We only hire employees. No 1099 contractors. Through a thorough application and questionnaire process, we determine if the candidate will be a great fit with consistent availability.
We run a local and national background check to ensure their background is squeaky clean before hiring any employee. We don’t let just anyone enter your home and care for your pets.
To further ensure we are hiring only the best dog walkers & pet sitters to care for your fur babies, we next schedule a phone interview with all of our prospective employees.
Red Cross First Aid & CPR
Our employees are required to go through the Red Cross’s Pet First Aid & CPR Training for an added level of insurance and peace of mind. We want everyone prepared just in case!
The next step allows us to meet our potential employees in person. We set up an interview near where they would be working to make sure they can arrive on time and to confirm they are a great fit.
On the Job Training
Before we let our employees care for your pets by themselves, they go through a series of on-the-job training visits with seasoned WoofPack veterans. This allows them to learn from the best!

Pam recently moved to the area after 10 years in Central Florida (originally from Michigan also.)
She began her first pet sitting experience while still in Florida with FOUR PAWS OF ORLANDO,
and shortly after moving to North Carolina found an opening with WOOFPACK.
As a retiree, pet sitting has been a blessing. Pam has always loved animals, especially dogs,
she had 2 of her own for a number of years. Spending time with other people’s pets fills a void
in her day with the added bonus of knowing that she’s helping someone out.
Pam lives in Cary with her older daughter and son-in-law, her younger daughter and son-in-law
reside in Michigan. She has 6 grandkids and is NANA to 3 dogs as well.
If you live in Apex, Cary or Holly Springs, there’s a good chance you’ll get to meet Pam!
Saundra was born and raised in New Orleans, with an abiding love of animals from the time she was little. She moved to the Midwest, where she pursued a career in Finance on LaSalle Street in Chicago.
Life brought her back to the South with her daughter Simone, to settle in North Carolina where she decided to take a B.S. in Zoology at NCSU. While in school, she worked in the Animal Sciences Dept. and gave all the animals names, according to their personalities. Soon enough, everyone else was calling the animals by those names as well.
She became the Science Resource person at Simone’s elementary school, organizing many activities and demonstrations for the students. At one such demonstration, the school principal stopped in and suggested that Saundra would be a wonderful teacher.
Following the suggestion, Saundra went on to become certified in all sciences for grades 6-12, teaching in Wake and Johnston Counties.
When she retired from teaching, Saundra wanted to do something productive. Woofpack offered the perfect opportunity to combine a life of science and love of animals, and it’s been the perfect fit ever since.
With many dogs, cats and various other pets at home, over the years, she’s pleased to share her living space at the moment, with Duchess the Cat, a long-haired gray diva who graciously allows Saundra to provide food, water, treats and toys. And occasionally makes sure she’s awake at ridiculous hours, just in case there might be a food shortage.
Saundra traverses most of Wake County taking care of WoofPack pets but her main area is Raleigh, Apex and Holly Springs.
Jack is a husband and Dad of two furry, four-legged kids: Elsa and Baloo.
Jack hails from the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia. He migrated to Apex, NC in 2013 in pursuit of a new, fulfilled life with his loving wife, Rachel. Jack is passionate in serving humans and animals, ensuring that he’s made a “paw-sitive” impact in their lives, even if some have 9. Caring for felines and canines all of his life, Jack understands how important TLC is for them and will make sure to take care of yours as if they were his own.
Jack joined WoofPack in September 2018 and before he knew it, his schedule was full and he was loving the opportunity to care for our clients’ pets while they’re away. He loved it so much that in May 2019, he was promoted to Chief Pet Officer. Jack now oversees the day-to-day operations of WoofPack while still maintaining a full schedule of dog walking and pet sitting in Apex, Morrisville, Cary, Holly Springs, Raleigh and Fuquay-Varina.

A little bit about Casey, personally – Casey is from Calhoun, GA. He graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2008. He grew up with a cat of 15 years, and a toy poodle that lived for 17 years. They were my everything when he got his baby, Regan, at 21 in college. She lived till a week before her 13th birthday. Casey refused to get another fur baby right away (which many people do), and reached out to Woof Pack and fill the void of taking care of other fur babies’ animals. Casey is a real estate agent in downtown Raleigh and manages his time to take care of the animals whenever they need to be.
His husband, Ben, is also an employee with the company. If Casey can’t make the site visits, he can. Especially, over the summer since he is off for vacation from teaching elementary students.
Casey is a Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Specialist, serving WoofPack clients in the Raleigh and North Hills area.
Ben is an Art teacher for elementary students. In his off hours, he enjoys caring for animals. WoofPack allows him to just that and he has been doing so for one year now.
