Hiring Pet Sitters – We Don’t Hire Just Anyone
Application & Questionnaire
We only hire employees. No 1099 contractors. Through a thorough application and questionnaire process, we determine if the candidate will be a great fit with consistent availability.
We run a local and national background check to ensure their background is squeaky clean before hiring any employee. We don’t let just anyone enter your home and care for your pets.
To further ensure we are hiring only the best dog walkers & pet sitters to care for your fur babies, we next schedule a phone interview with all of our prospective employees.
Red Cross First Aid & CPR
Our employees are required to go through the Red Cross’s Pet First Aid & CPR Training for an added level of insurance and peace of mind. We want everyone prepared just in case!
The next step allows us to meet our potential employees in person. We set up an interview near where they would be working to make sure they can arrive on time and to confirm they are a great fit.
On the Job Training
Before we let our employees care for your pets by themselves, they go through a series of on-the-job training visits with seasoned WoofPack veterans. This allows them to learn from the best!

Pam recently moved to the area after 10 years in Central Florida (originally from Michigan also.)

and shortly after moving to North Carolina found an opening with WOOFPACK.
As a retiree, pet sitting has been a blessing. Pam has always loved animals, especially dogs,
she had 2 of her own for a number of years. Spending time with other people’s pets fills a void
in her day with the added bonus of knowing that she’s helping someone out.
Pam lives in Cary with her older daughter and son-in-law, her younger daughter and son-in-law

After the military he settled in Nebraska where he studied Computer Science and began his career in Information Technology working for such companies as Omaha Steaks, First National Bank of Omaha, and Creighton University.
Steve and his family relocated to Cary 3 years ago to escape the Nebraska winters and settled in Fuquay Varina shortly thereafter.
Steve is a devoted animal lover who has had cats and dogs his entire life and can’t imagine not having a furry friend around him at all times. He even formed a volunteer team with Stanford and visits schools, nursing homes, and any other place that wants a visit from Stanford who specializes in big wet kisses and puppy hugs.
Knowing how important family pets are to people Steve wanted to do something that incorporated his love of pets while helping other people, pet sitting was the natural fit.
Steve stays busy with all the WoofPack clients in Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs.
Saundra was born and raised in New Orleans, with an abiding love of animals from the time she was little.
Life brought her to North Carolina with her daughter Simone where she decided to take a B.S. in Zoology at NCSU.
Saundra became the Science Resource person at Simone’s elementary school, organizing many demonstrations for the students. At one such demonstration, the school principal stopped in and suggested that Saundra would be a wonderful teacher.
Following the suggestion, Saundra went on to become certified in all sciences for grades 6-12, teaching in Wake and Johnston Counties.
When she retired from teaching, Saundra wanted to do something productive. Woofpack offered the perfect opportunity to combine a life of science and love of animals, and it’s been the perfect fit ever since.
Saundra is known as the “animal whisperer” of WoofPack and traverses most of Wake County pet sitting and dog walking.

A little bit about Casey, personally – Casey is from Calhoun, GA. He graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2008. He grew up with a cat of 15 years, and a toy poodle that lived for 17 years. They were my everything when he got his baby, Regan, at 21 in college. She lived till a week before her 13th birthday. Casey refused to get another fur baby right away (which many people do), and reached out to Woof Pack and fill the void of taking care of other fur babies’ animals. Casey is a real estate agent in downtown Raleigh and manages his time to take care of the animals whenever they need to be.
His husband, Ben, is also an employee with the company. If Casey can’t make the site visits, he can. Especially, over the summer since he is off for vacation from teaching elementary students.
Casey is a Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Specialist, serving WoofPack clients in the Raleigh and North Hills area.
