Our Hiring Process – We Don’t Hire Just Anyone

i

Application & Questionnaire

We only hire employees. No 1099 contractors. Through a thorough application and questionnaire process, we determine if the candidate might be a great fit with consistent availability.

Z

Background Check

Before hiring any employee, we also run a local and national background check to ensure their background is squeaky clean. We don’t let just anyone going into your home and caring for your babies.

Phone Interview

To further ensure we are hiring only the best dog walkers & pet sitters to care for your fur babies, we next schedule a phone interview with all of our prospective employees.

Red Cross First Aid & CPR

For an added level of insurance and peace of mind, once our employees are hired, they are required to go through the Red Cross’s Pet First Aid & CPR Training. We want everyone prepared just in case!

In-Person Interview

The next step allows us to meet our potential employees in person. We set up an interview near where they would be working to make sure they can arrive on time and to confirm they are a great fit.

On the Job Training

Before we let our employees care for your pets by themselves, they go through a series of on-the-job training visits with seasoned WoofPack veterans. This allows them to learn from the best!

Meet the All Star Dog Walkers & Pet Sitters

Jack

Jack

Chief Pet Officer

Jack is a husband and Dad of two furry, four-legged kids. Elsa is a mix, but she prefers to be known as a German Shepherd. Being called Husky makes her sensitive about her weight. Baloo is a mix as well, mainly Australian Shepherd but Jack believes there’s a hint of Italian since people say “Chow” too.

All kitten aside, Jack hails from the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia. He migrated to Apex, NC in 2013 in pursuit of a new, fulfilled life with his loving wife, Rachel. Jack is passionate in serving humans and animals, ensuring that he’s made a pawsitive impact in their lives, even if some have 9. Caring for felines and canines all of his life, Jack understands how important TLC is for them and will make sure to take care of yours as if they were his own.

Jack joined WoofPack in September 2018 and before he knew it, his schedule was full and he was loving the opportunity to care for our clients’ pets while they’re away. He loved it so much that in May 2019, he was promoted to Chief Pet Officer. Jack now oversees the day-to-day operations of WoofPack while still maintaining a full schedule of dog walking and pet sitting in Apex, Morrisville, Cary, Holly Springs, Raleigh and Fuquay-Varina.

Casey

Casey

Pet Sitter

A little bit about Casey, personally – Casey is from Calhoun, GA. He graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2008. He grew up with a cat of 15 years, and a toy poodle that lived for 17 years. They were my everything when he got his baby, Regan, at 21 in college. She lived till a week before her 13th birthday. Casey refused to get another fur baby right away (which many people do), and reached out to Woof Pack and fill the void of taking care of other fur babies’ animals. Casey is a real estate agent in downtown Raleigh and manages his time to take care of the animals whenever they need to be.

His husband, Ben, is also an employee with the company. If Casey can’t make the site visits, he can. Especially, over the summer since he is off for vacation from teaching elementary students.

Casey is a Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Specialist, serving WoofPack clients in the Raleigh and North Hills area.

Ben

Christy

Christy

Pet Sitter

Christy grew-up in Grand Rapids, MI. She graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2003 with an Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management degree. Post college, she moved to Asheville, NC. There, she adopted her now 16 year-old cat, Bryg (pronounced “Bree,” Celtic for “high and mighty”) in 2004. Bryg has lived in 4 different states with Christy, as she did many different outdoor-related jobs around the country. Traveling cross country is not one of Bryg’s favorite things to do, but she loved the adventures they went on. Eventually, she and her husband, Ryan, moved to Golden, CO, in 2007, where their two boys, Brendan and Tyler, can into existence. They also rescued Finley, a seal point Ragdoll cat. He is now 12 years old. Christy recently moved to Fuquay-Varina in June, 2018.

Christy has been an animal lover her whole life. She loved helping to train her dog, Spencer, a golden retriever, to do various tricks and obey commands; it came very easy to her. She was an avid horseback rider “back in the day”, and the go-to person for the neighborhoods’ pet-sitting needs. In her spare time, she loves to travel with her family, find new adventures to go on, hike on the dry days, and read. She is a stay-at-home-mom, and now that both her boys are in school full-time, she is very excited to spend her days caring for your loved pets.

Christy is WoofPack’s go to dog walker and pet sitter in Holly Springs and Fuquay Varina, NC.
